About Betty Saavedra
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Betty carries the mountain and lake energies of the Muisca ancestors. From a young age, she felt the currents of ancestral memory and the pulse of the Earth flowing through her veins. Weekend visits to the Hot Springs of Bogotá with her father ignited her early connection to healing waters and rituals for purification through nature’s elements.
Now based in the sacred healing vortex of Desert Hot Springs, California, Betty honors the spirit of water through her sound medicine, aura healing, and ancestral ceremonies. She affectionately refers to Desert Hot Springs as “Spa City,” a living temple of mineral waters and desert light.
Betty is also the author of Spa Girl: Spa Guide — Spa City, a poetic and immersive journey through the healing sanctuaries of Desert Hot Springs. In her book, she shares her experiences and insights as both guide and guardian of the region’s sacred spas, intertwining local history, elemental healing, and personal transformation into a luminous reflection of the desert’s spirit.
